One of my Favorite places to visit is Glendalough. I’m hoping for a visit on my next trip to Ireland in late May. Glendalough is a valley in the Wicklow Mountains of Ireland. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Ireland, and for good reason. The valley is home to two lakes, two monastic settlements, and a variety of hiking trails.
The monastic settlements were founded in the 6th century by St. Kevin. The larger of the two settlements is known as the Upper Glendalough, and it is home to the ruins of a cathedral, a number of churches, and a round tower.
